Seahawk PWA Victorious in Simsbury

Congratulations to our Seahawk PeeWee A team for coming home victorious at the 23rd Annual Holiday Invitational Tournament in Simsbury. The Seahawks defeated a tough couple of teams from Simsbury (4-1) and Pawling (6-3) but came up short against strong team from Putnam, losing that one (2-1), but it was enough for our Seahawks to win the preliminary round.  Our PeeWee As went into the final game for a rematch against the team from Pawling NY. After 3 periods of regulation play the score was tied 4-4 placing our boys in a 5 minute, 4 on 4, sudden death overtime period. The tension grew and a couple of penalties in overtime gave both teams some additional open ice with 3 on 3 play, but neither team could find the back of the net. Tension maxed as the game was forced into a five player shootout. The Seahawks would set the tone leading off with a goal on their first shot. The Seahawks led 2-1 as Pawling settled in for their final shot. Their attempt was foiled as the Seahawk goalie stood strong, bringing the team to victory.

Congratulations, Seahawks!

Seahawks - Take a look at the most recent Gotta Love CT Hockey interview with our Seahawk Squirt A players and coaches. Our Seahawks battled hard to a 0 - 0 tie against the Central Squirt A1 Capitals at their game in Newington on Dec 22nd.

Niantic Light Parade - Seahawks take third place.

Congratulations Seahawks on being awarded a Third Place trophy in the Niantic Light Parade float competition last weekend. Special thanks go out to the Pisani family and all those working behind the scenes to make it a great night out for our Seahawks.

SECYH is hosting a Golf Fundraiser at the Lake of Isles on May 7, 2012!

Please see the Flyer HERE and share with all your friends and business acquaintances.  Reservations are required and space will be limited so be sure to get the word out for this amazing event.  

Volunteers needed for assistance with flyers, emails, prizes, sponsorships, and day of event postions.

In the coming weeks the Seahawks are asking all the amateur photographers to capture our players as they battle for the puck, take that awesome shot and celebrate their victories, big and small. Tournaments can be a great opportunity as well.
 
We have volunteers that are interested in assembling enough pictures to put a yearbook together. It would not only include individual and team photos but some of those great shots taken by fans like you.
