Grow the Game
Welcome to our Grow the Game. The grow the game program is intended for first time hockey players who wants to try hockey for free. Contact our house director at housedirector@secyh.org or our president at president@secyh.org with questions.
Ages
Grow the game is appropriate for anyone wanting to play hockey from age 4 to 14.
When
Grow the game occurs during the offseason typically in spring and/or summer and is 1 Saturday a week for 3-4 weeks.
We also have free to try throughout the season.

Rose Garden Ice Arena in Norwich CT
Equipment Required
Full hockey equipment is required to step on the ice. Equipment can be loaned on a first come first serve basis
Costs
There are none! This is purely a free event to allow anyone to try out hockey!
2025 Free To Try
This registration is for the free to play event for 2025. Free to play events are the following dates & times:
January 18, 2025 - 7:30am - 8:30am
January 19, 2025 - 8:00am - 9:00pm
To register your child they should have never played on a USA hockey team and should NOT have a USA hockey number.
You may come to all or any of the events. Gear will be provided on a first come first serve basis.
